He demanded only the freshest batteries, insisted on being introduced as "The Great Ricky Bear," and once refused to perform because someone had placed a rubber duck in his dressing room. The duck was never identified. As the years passed, musical tastes changed. One day, Ricky found himself carefully packed away in a cupboard. He spent years there entertaining spiders with his greatest hits and giving motivational speeches to forgotten Christmas decorations. Eventually, Ricky was donated to a charity shop.
