Surrounded by things others had stopped noticing, he sat patiently, his fur a little rumpled but his spirit entirely intact. Day after day, people passed by without seeing the little red heart sewn into his paw or the years of love tucked inside his weighted belly. Then came a rescue. A keen-eyed bear lover spotted Barnaby perched quietly among the cast-offs and immediately recognised that he wasn't rubbish at all. He was a gentleman bear between adventures. Lifted from the shelf and carried home, Barnaby began the next chapter of his story. Now lovingly restored and ready for a new family, he waits once more for a cosy chair, a warm corner, and someone who believes that every bear deserves a second chance.
