My Story

"Archibald Explorer, accidental adventurer, and collector of improbable stories. Archibald has never considered himself particularly brave. In fact, he would happily explain that most of his adventures began entirely by accident. Nevertheless, wherever an interesting story seemed likely to occur, Archibald somehow found himself in the middle of it. Born in New Zealand, Archibald spent his early years accompanying a succession of curious companions. He travelled in backpacks, picnic hampers, holiday suitcases, and once, quite memorably, inside a cardboard box that was mistakenly delivered to the wrong town. Archibald insists that this was not a mistake at all but merely a shortcut to an unexpected adventure. Over the years, he developed a reputation for appearing wherever excitement was least expected. He has watched meteor showers from grassy hillsides, listened to tall tales around campfires, and spent many rainy afternoons tucked beneath blankets while the world outside dripped and splashed. Although generally polite and good-natured, he occasionally offers a thoughtful growl when he disagrees with the ending of a book or suspects someone has skimped on the cake at afternoon tea. His greatest talent is collecting stories. Some are true, some are probably true, and a few become more extraordinary every time he tells them. These days, Archibald is searching for a new travelling companion. Someone who appreciates small adventures, unexpected detours, and the occasional philosophical debate over a cup of tea. He hopes his next home will be filled with laughter, kindness, and plenty of opportunities to add a few more improbable tales to his ever-growing collection.
